Now Hiring: Junior Designer Role

We are seeking an Interior Designer who has an eye for design and crazy attention to detail – mainly - a rendering expert.  Candidates must have great technical skills and the ability to translate design concepts into design drawings, lighting plans, and detailed elevations.

This is a hybrid position where candidates will need to work from our Leesburg, VA studio approximately 2-3 times per week.

 

We provide training, mentoring, systems, and a business structure to support your focus on exceptional detailed design and the joy-filled customer experience.

Junior Designer Roles and Responsibilities

 

The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work. Other duties may be involved. A full role description will be provided.

 

  • Support Principal & Lead Designers through computer aided floor plans, renderings, and elevations to scale (render spaces in 3D + turn renderings into 2D elevations)

  • Help to analyze and resolve complex, technical design and installation issues

  • Execute projects in a professional, positive and profitable manner

  • Provide clear, proactive, direct, frequent communication and interface with team members

  • Help prepare documentation for Concept & Detailed Design Presentations

  • Assist with creation of Spec Books including lighting plans, elevations, and millwork detailing

  • Perform administrative tasks to keep design projects moving smoothly

  • Establish and maintain positive, professional client, vendor and trade relationships

  • When invited, observe and document client meetings and presentations in a positive, professional manner

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Adhere to and maintain the existing systems in an organized manner

  • Attend & assist with install days, photoshoots, and trade meetings as needed

 

Requirements

  • A passion for design with an eye for detail

  • A quick learner on tech/software

  • Ability to focus on multiple projects in various stages of development

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Experience with Sketchup, Chief Architect, or Similar

  • Experience communicating with vendors and trades

  • Knowledge of construction details, specifically in kitchen and bath design

  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Reliable car and valid driver’s license to go to and from project sites, the studio, etc.

  • Reliable computer and WiFi to utilize our web based systems
